I just want to ask community one question-How original Xbox when connected through Component cable and when chosen in menu 480p-yes, 720p-yes and 1080i-yes-can Autofill all the area of 16:9 TV-no black borders? Maybe Component signal through Original Xbox not ignores 720x480frame lines? Because I feel that in PS2-somehow only 640x480 sent to TV and that's why there are always black borders on PS2 on 16x9 TV in any game. So as far as we understand there is internal resolution and real resolution. This is where the DCHDMI differs - it taps directly into the system delivering all pixels digitally to your display at a variety of output resolutions.

The result? A loss in image clarity with minor distortion and a narrow aspect ratio. Typical displays, however, interpret this as a true 640x480 eliminating lines in the process. The question is-in which Format Signal is Rendered inside GS before it goes to DAC (To transfer to component analog)-so is it Progressive or Interlaced rendered inside GS chip? Which video resolution inside GS Chip?ĭreamcast generates a DTV signal much like other consumer electronics of this era - while only 640x480 worth of pixels is ever drawn, this is contained within a 720x480 frame. I am not sure if Upscaling really could improve anything since technically it does not add any new lines. Probably it should be both Digital Y Cb Cr and Digital RGB through HDMI. I just wonder if some Chinese people could also clone or develop something similar to tap into digital GS signal of PS2 and output direct digital HDMI from PS2 but with the same type of Quality of HDMI but for way lower price ? All we need just cheaper solution. I also hope they will support YPbPr AND RGB/RGsB! I hope this can hold up to the PS3-Emulation (visually)! This is AMAZING IMO, especially since the PS2's DACs ever seem to put out a bit 'milky' and blurred composition (picture-clarity)! This also could enable visual enhancements or alterations (see Ultra-HDMI, DCHDMI, the NES-HDMI-Mod, Framemeister, OSSC, etc.) and etc.

I am not sure how well de-interleaced content would look like, compared to a progressive picture (either native or by a game which is supported well enough via GSM). This could even produce a better quality than a Framemeister or OSSC (in theory)! This could yield an even better quality than the best component-cables or any of the cheap Chinese HDMI-Adapters!

This does NOT include any analog-digital-conversion, but is tapping (directly) into the digital signal(s) right before the DACs and creates an HDMI-compliant digital signal! Please help me determine which MOD i have. The guys of DCHDMI are also working on a PS2HDMI!!! Other that that it allows me to do anything, it works with my Gameshark, i can play my emulators on it and i can boot my PS2 mediaplayer discs. PS2 DVD and CD based games boot normally without any fancy tricks.īut PS1 games and DVD movies require me to Hold the EJECT button when i turn on my game until the tray ejects (approximately 3 seconds). I have seeen the Chip once, i am sure that it is soldered, Let me give you the details. Here's the problem, i don't want to open my game again because i made some repairs that i don't want to have to go through again and the wires are a bit short.
